Step 3. We will confirm your Cloud PBX setup - call flows, hunt groups, twinning calls, confirm which telephone numbers are to move to VoIP & notify current provider. We'll also liaise with your IT company/person to ensure we have the correct router & firewall settings to suit your particular requirements.
Step 4. GTL will arrange & call to each of your premises requiring network connection and connect the managed router. During this visit we will test internet access & WAN access, then advise your IT people connection is available for testing & connection to your LAN. During this visit we will also test VoIP access.
If you have opted for DYI install by your IT people or your staff, during this visit would be a good time to have the GTL tech explain the process of connection etc.
Step 5. If GTL on-site installation has been arranged we will arrange & install VoIP telephones and equipment on site. If DYI installation is opted for, GTL will be available to assist with this step

That's not an easy question. There are so many possible makes & models of broadband routers that we can't possibly cover them all. However there are dos & don'ts regarding routers for VoIP connections.
Do's:
Disable 'SIP ALG' or 'SIP IP Helper' on your router
Ensure your router is capable of 'Port Forwarding' (normally not required)
'AC' Wifi is preferred for Wifi phones but 'n' is also suitable
Don'ts:
Generally routers that have built-in ATA (analog telephone adapter) ports can be problematic
Generally 'free' routers from internet carriers are not up to the job of VoIP. However it pays to check.
Entry level Router/Modem makes that are recommended for basic VoIP use are:
